An Update on the Bakery

Dear Friends of Twinbrook Bakes,

After 4 incredible years of building, baking, and growing Twinbrook Bakes from the ground up, I’ve decided to take a break from the bakery.

I began Twinbrook Bakes in 2021 as a creative outlet and a way for me to build something of my own. Running this bakery has taught me so much about myself, and has helped me grow in many important ways.

While I am sad to close the chapter on this bakery (at least for now), I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and friends, and returning to baking just for fun.

I want to thank my amazing customers for trusting me with your important milestones, your special celebrations, and your weekend pick-me-ups. It has been such an honor to bake for you. The smiles and kind words with each order have made every late night of baking worth it.

I also couldn’t have done any of it without the support of my amazing friends and family, and of course, my wonderful husband. Thank you for all the taste testing, cheering me on at every market, and for supporting me through all the long hours of baking.

I have also had the privilege of meeting so many brilliant small business owners on this journey - thank you for your friendship and insights - I will still be here to support you and cheer for your success! To my wonderful community, please continue to shop small and support these dreams. It matters now more than ever.

The bakery will close after the holiday season. This does not affect current orders. I will be accepting orders until December 18 and final pickups/deliveries will take place on December 23. The holiday menu will be released the day after Thanksgiving, and I will be taking a very limited amount of custom orders in December.

I cannot thank all of you enough for coming on this journey with me, and I can’t wait to bake for you for one more holiday season.

With gratitude,

Rachel
